Over 5 million people are disabled by severe mental illness. 1 in 100 people will develop schizophrenia. 1 in 10 people with schizophrenia will commit suicide. 1 in 5 people with Bi-polar disorder (manic-depressive) will comitt suicide. There are long delays in getting treatment. The average is 10 years before most people get the help they need. This contributes to the severity and lower success rates for treatment.
The 25% donation money goes to a non profit charity (ICCD International Center for Clubhouse Development) that provides support in multiple ways through over 300 clubhouses world wide allowing individuals living with mental illness to live productive contributing lives.
